Dupa Lungs, albumul de debut care a avut un succes urias in toata lumea, Florence & The Machine tinteste sus cu noul material: Ceremonials.Albumul a fost inregistrat la Abbey Road Studios din Londra, impreuna cu producatorul Paul Epworth.
Potrivit unei declaratii date de Florence Welch, noul material tratează teme precum iubirea, moartea, violenta sau vinovătia.
De pe Ceremonials, materialul produs de Paul Epworth, grupul a mai lansat single-urile Shake It Out şi What The Water Gave Me, iar pe 15 octombrie fanii au putut auzi live alte trei piese de pe noul disc.
